A large 10" wall mounted circular Bourbon type barometer by Jules Richard. French, circa 1890.

Reverse printed dial with a scale calibrated in a centimeter range of 73 to 80, marked "Barometre Metallique". 

Gilt brass movement, the backplate marked with "JR" cartouche "BREVETE" and  Serial number: 22269

Diameter: 26 cm.

Depth: 7.5 cm.

Jules Richard (1848-1930), 25 Rue Mélingue, Paris. A second generation instrument maker, the son of Félix Richard and nephew of the electrical instrument maker Gustave Froment.
