J. H. Dallmeyer was a British company, founded in 1860. Dallmeyer designed and manufactured photographic lenses and telescopes.
John Henry Dallmeyer (6 September 1830 – 30 December 1883) was born in Prussia. On coming to London, he worked for the optician Andrew Ross, and later married Ross's daughter. Dallmeyer was on the council of both the Royal Photographic and Astronomical Societies.
