PLANETARIUM PROJECTOR BY CARL ZEISS JENA

A late 1950's Zeiss ZKP-1 Planetarium Projector by Carl Zeiss Jena AG.

The ZKP-1 was produced by Zeiss Jena between 1952-1977, and used in medium type planetarium with celestial dome diameters of 6 to 8 meters or 40 to 80 observers.

The star-sphere has 31 lenses which project around 5000 stars down to the 6th magnitude. The star-sphere also carries the projectors for the Milky Way, the Meridian and horizon.
