Kismet: William Turner and Bro. Ltd, of Eyre Lane, Sheffield, was established in the late 1890’s. Pneumatic engineers and motor accessory manufacturers, produced air pumps under the KISMET brand name.

It is said that William Turner named his company’s brand name after seeing the KISMET musical opera.
